Event & Course Details:

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to give yourself time setup all your race equipment.

Bring your bike/water bottle, a towel, running shoes, and any race related equipment/change of clothes you want during the race, or after. Setup your bike and run gear by the garage (transition area). When we’re all set, we’ll all head to the dock for the swim start and get the fun rolling.

Swim Route: .38 mile
The swim route is a clockwise loop starting and finishing at the host cottage’s dock. Water depth is 4’ at deepest. If you are under 5', please take appropriate precautions if you cannot swim the entire route without stopping.

Transition Area:
This will be the garage area of the Leas/Roach cottage. The 2-car part will be an open area with chairs for changing shoes and getting set for the next stage of the race. The 1-car part can be used for private wardrobe changing if needed.

Bike & Run start & finish line is the end of the driveway at the transition area. Both the Bike & Run start heading north ... that’s to the right.

Biking: 12.4 miles
Please wear a helmet! This is an informal triathlon, BE AWARE, this is NOT a closed course race. I've set the courses to avoid as much traffic as possible, but PLEASE USE CAUTION on the roads, at corners, turnarounds, and street crossings. Always yield to traffic and follow all normal biking road rules at all times. Please bike on the right side of the road with traffic.

Running: 3.1 miles
BE AWARE, this is NOT a closed course race. PLEASE USE CAUTION on the roads, at corners, turnarounds, and street crossings. Always yield to traffic and follow all normal running road rules at all times. Please run on left side of the road facing traffic.

Course Markings:
All turns on the Bike & Run will be marked with roadside signs. Bike & Run turnarounds will be marked with a sign and safety cones at the edge of the road. Be aware that there might be loose material on the road at the bike turnarounds, so please take them slow.

Water Station:
There will be a water station for the run at the wedge corner of SW Torch River Dr. & Lake Ave. You’ll run by this twice. Bring a water bottle for the bike portion. And, hopefully you won’t be drinking too much water on the swim.

Stick around after the race for snacks, refreshments ... and to meet a new friend or two!
